Ira is originally from India. She moved to the USA with her family over twenty years ago. Ira started her career by working in the mortgage industry. Although she has been painting since she was a child, she studied Art after moving to America. Ira works predominantly in the acrylic medium.
Ira’s art is influenced by the vibrant colors and culture of India. Although she draws inspiration from her autobiography, her paintings are instinctive and possess a surreal ambiguity that express her feelings and reality. Ira is constantly exploring and experimenting with new styles and subjects. Her paintings are abstract and representational.
Ira’s work has been recently exhibited at the Blackhawk Gallery in Danville.
